
2014 marked a transformative year for Reunion Island. The company's goal was clear: be unrecognizable by the end of the year. We helped the RI Coffee of old disappear by launching Reunion Island's marketplace - which has seen exponential sales growth since site launch.

When Reunion Island Coffee Roasters tapped us to to help them revamp their online marketplace, we got excited. With 19 years under their belt producing some of the world's best coffee, and renowned experts in their field, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to help them refresh their brand.
Reunion Island started with a logo redesign, brand colour refinement, and a complete product packaging overhaul. We took our cues directly from the new packaging and set out to build a responsive, scalable, and elegant marketplace that would help Reunion Island garner the attention their brand deserved.
We commenced the web transformation with base installs of WordPress and Shopify, extending both platforms to achieve the functionality required. For example, our custom filtering allows visitors to select their coffee based on 5 criteria: Region, Roast Colour, Format, Certifications, and Type.
When a user selects a category and a characteristic, the product tiles shift to bring the applicable products to the top of the list while simultaneously reducing the opacity of the products that don't fit the requirements. This feature creates a similar effect to an in store shopping experience; you're able to focus on specific products that match your requirements while the rest of the product inventory is still visible should you still want it.
Reunion Island has experienced exponential growth online since launching the new ricoffee.com. They are a shining example of what a business can accomplish, when willing to invest in their digital infrastructure.
